Alice Barker

Diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 12 months old, Alice Barker grew up believing she would never walk and would rely on a wheelchair for life. Feeling uncertain about her place in the world, everything changed when, at 14, she saw Avatar and was inspired by Jake Sully’s transformation from an outsider to the legendary Toruk Makto.

Determined to find her own path, Alice has since self-published five books through Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing: Tales from Tomorrow (2017) and Paraplegion (2018), the romantic comedy Sketching Scarlett (2018, updated in 2020), the thriller On the Stroke of Twelve (2020), and the non-fiction Pearls of Wisdom (2021).
